Role involved planning, workplan management, status reporting, financial tracking / reporting / control, risk / issue management, stakeholder management, benefits realization, cross-project interdependency management, deliverables management and various other day-to-day program management processes as well performing account management activities like resourcing, billing, relationship development and up-selling / cross-selling. Managed all commercials and vendor relations in cases leading to significant cost savings ( $100k) to the program and thus directly benefitting the client bottom-line
  • As Program Lead, helped Wesfarmers in kicking-off a $17 million project from scratch and establishing planning, workplan management, status reporting, financial tracking / reporting / control, risk / issue management, and day-to-day project management & control. Managed the program team consisting of client permanent employees, client contractors and vendor. One of the key responsibilities was vendor management and the associated "time & material (T&M)" design phase within aggressive timelines & budget. At the time of rolling-off was successful in helping position the client to realise ~15% cost savings (AUD 100k+) for the design phase without compromising on quality and timelines (infact there was a potential of finishing 2 weeks earlier than planned). The client also had very peculiar internal finance processes and I was successful in not only self-learning them on-the-go but also kept the financial forecasts variance under the client threshold every month! Lastly, trained a senior project manager who was recruited for the role and seamlessly handed over the program to him within the defined transition period
  • In Brisbane was responsible for setting-up Program Management Office from scratch for $15 million+ project of BHP Billiton having team size of ~50+. Role involved establishing planning, workplan management, status reporting, financial tracking / reporting / control, risk / issue management, deliverables management, developing program vision and various other day-to-day project management processes. Responsibilities included project management and control using Concerto (based on Critical Chain Project Management methodology) as well performing account management activities like resourcing and billing
